Murdoch University’s Peel and Rockingham Campuses are open for business on Wednesday after sustaining no damage in the overnight storms.
Power and water supplies were restored to the buildings on Monday afternoon and the essential services are still operational today despite the high winds and heavy rains.
Examinations due to take place at Peel and Rockingham today will go ahead as planned.
Examinations which were due to take place on the two campuses yesterday were relocated to the University’s South Street Campus as a precaution.
Peel Campus intermittently lost power on Sunday and water supply for most of Monday after stormy weather in the region. Rockingham Campus also lost power and communications from early afternoon Sunday. It was not known how long repairs would take so the examinations on Tueday were moved to the South Street Campus to ensure they could take place. The essential services to both Peel and Rockingham were restored by 4.30pm on Monday.
Very small numbers of students taking exams on both campuses were affected on Monday. Larger numbers of students taking exams on Tuesday were affected.
Students are still advised to check the Murdoch University website for updates. The Exam Office is contactable on (08) 9360 2544/exams@murdoch.edu.au.
Murdoch staff working at the Peel and Rockingham Campuses returned to work on Tuesday.

Thanks for the advice, this weather storm affected students' preparations for exams because some places have not yet have power up to now.
Once again many thanks
