Virtual classroom to revolutionise teacher training

Pre-service teachers trained at Murdoch University will be among the best prepared in the nation after the launch of a new virtual reality classroom tool. Launched earlier this week, the SimLab™ technology is a mixed reality learning environment, with classroom pupils being represented by avatars that respond in real time to a teacher’s direction or instructions.

Student project honoured at the Oscars of the ICT world

A Murdoch University student IT group project has earned international acclaim winning a merit prize at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2016 in Taiwan.

Murdoch’s student project, known as FlexiBrains, won the Merit Tertiary Student Project Award against a high calibre of other entries.
