New postgraduate courses on offer at Murdoch information evening

October 24, 2014

On Thursday, October 30 Murdoch University is hosting its annual Postgraduate Information Evening with a difference.

This year sees a number of new and exciting courses on offer including:

  • Master of Teaching (Primary)
  • Graduate Certificate in Health Policy and Leadership
  • Graduate Diploma/Master of Protected Areas
  • Master of Food Security
  • Master of Wildlife Health and Conservation
  • Graduate Diploma in Web Communications

These courses will be showcased alongside Murdoch’s strong course offerings in public policy and international affairs, engineering, veterinary and life sciences, community development and communications.

Postgraduate Information Evening organiser Kerina Puttman has planned this year’s event using a networking and seminar format comprising short, 20-minute course specific presentations at various times in one central location. Each presentation will be followed by a mini-expo and an opportunity to engage directly with the academic running the program.

“We understand that many prospective postgraduate students don’t have the time to dedicate a full evening to exploring their options as they juggle a number of other commitments,” Ms Puttman said.

“So we’ve created a networking program that uses one location to give attendees an opportunity to pick and choose the presentations they are interested in, ensuring they get the most out the evening and walk away with all the information they need to make a decision on their postgraduate study path.

“Prospective students will also get a chance to engage directly with the Murdoch University Academic running the course and hear firsthand the expertise that goes into delivering these programs,” she said.

The Postgraduate Information evening runs from 6pm – 8.30pm in the Murdoch University Postgraduate Suite located at the south side of the Economics, Commerce and Law Building at the South Street Campus. Ample, free parking is available in Carpark 7 and student ambassadors will be on hand with directions on the evening.

Visit the Murdoch website for the full list of postgraduate courses on offer at the information evening and details on how to RSVP. The schedule of events including presentation times and speakers will be emailed to those who RSVP prior to the date.
