Harry Biggs on climate change and the water crisis May 21, 2010 Speaking at Murdoch University next Monday, chair of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Freshwater Task Force Harry Biggs will discuss how national parks and other intact landscapes can help augment current water supplies, enhance water purification and reduce storm and flood damage. At the free public lecture, Mr Biggs will share his proactive thoughts on landscape level planning to enhance society’s resilience in a changing climate, centred on freshwater resources and the benefits to biodiversity.
