John Exeter, Anna George, Dr Glen Power and Dr Yap Kok Wei have been named the winners of the inaugural Murdoch University Distinguished Alumni Awards in recognition of their professional and community service achievements.

Murdoch University’s Manager of Alumni Relations, Vanessa Fernandez-Kennedy, said they were chosen from a field of more than 100 exceptional candidates.

“All of our winners epitomise the core values of Murdoch University: equity and social justice; innovation and entrepreneurship; sustainability and global responsibility,” Ms Fernandez-Kennedy said.

“They represent some of our finest graduates and on behalf of the University I commend and congratulate them all on their outstanding achievements.”

All of the recipients expressed their excitement and honour at being recognised by the University. Each spoke fondly of their time at Murdoch and of the role the University played in helping to establish their careers.
